Hat Rainbows

God knows what He's about!
And thrill a man, and skill a man,
When God wants to mold a man
To play the noblest part,
When He yearns with all His heart
To build so great and bold a man
That all the world shall be amazed,
Then watch His methods, watch His ways!
How He ruthlessly perfects
Whom He royally elects;
How He hammers him and hurts him
And with mighty blows converts him
Into shapes and forms of clay
Which only God can understand
While man's tortured heart is crying
And he lifts beseeching hands...
Yet God bends but never breaks
When man's good He undertakes;
How He uses whom He chooses,
And with mighty power infuses him,
With every act induces him to try His splendor out,
God knows what He's about.

Six years of God's goodness
Happy Birthday, Jay - a day late.God has gifted you with many gifts and he has blessed me richly and beyond my wildest imaginations to allow me to walk beside you - for better or for worse. I wouldn't trade a moment of our journey together for anything.

What color is your technology?
Years ago an Alabama grandmother gave the new bride the following recipe: This is an exact copy as written and found in an old scrapbook - with spelling errors and all.
WARSHING CLOTHES
Build fire in backyard to heat kettle of rain water.
Set tubs so smoke wont blow in eyes if wind is pert.
Shave one hole cake of lie soap in boilin water.
Sort things, make 3 piles1 pile white,1 pile colored,1 pile work britches and rags.
To make starch, stir flour in cool water to smooth, then thin down with boiling water.
Take white things, rub dirty spots on board, scrub hard, and boil, then rub colored don't boil just wrench and starch.
Take things out of kettle with broom stick handle, then wrench, and starch.
Hang old rags on fence.
Spread tea towels on grass.Pore wrench water in flower bed.
Scrub porch with hot soapy water.
Turn tubs upside down.
Go put on clean dress, smooth hair with hair combs.
Brew cup of tea, sit and rock a spell and count your blessings.
Paste this over your washer and dryer Next time when you think things are bleak, read it again, kiss that washing machine and dryer, and give thanks. First thing each morning you should run and hug your washer and dryer, also your toilet---those two-holers used to get mighty cold!
For you non-southerners - wrench means, rinse ;)
AND WE THOUGHT WE HAVE IT ROUGH

Wanting white on my deck!
The blooms were 5-6 inches across. I saved lots of seeds and hope to have more for this summer. But I hope I don't need to wait until summer for a white deck.
Fractals - The Color of Numbers
Fractal art is the visual depiction of complex mathematical equations. Amazing - the fun God has with color by playing with numbers. I spent oodles of time finding breathtaking pictures online in a simple google search of fractals. At first glance many of them can look like something of a complete mess ....'out-of-order' to the max. But when you realize that they are precise, totally in order and following a number equation -- well, I love that side of God!

When you tell him to smile he squints his eyes.
Trying to get the earbud in to the Ipod.
